Experienced traders develop a strange relationship with excitement.
Beginners search for it.
Professionals become suspicious of it.
Because when a trade feels irresistible, objectivity is often already disappearing.
With all the headlines screaming that Subhash Chandra got a 99%+ haircut from banks, it is worth listening to his side of the story too. The ₹22,000 crore figure is being widely misunderstood and several facts being circulated are simply wrong. There are always two sides to a story. Do listen before you judge.
@skylyfresearch@Patterns0001 Totally agree with you view!
The so called underperformance of Indian markets is entirely relative to the US market which appears to be a work of bubble art created by the artist potus. Rightly said d earnings breadth will set d record straight soon, when d bubble goes b***!

Yesterday’s final NIFTY 50 candle was not a mistake.
The average five-minute candle range was 13.93 points. The final CAS candle moved 200 points, over 14 times larger.
It reflects the closing price set through India’s new Closing Auction Session.
Here is how CAS works and what it changes for F&O traders. 🧵
Today I learned that a lot of people think that paying minimum due on credit cards avoid penalties and interest. And they end up paying 30% plus interest annualised on balance due.
Why is it not explicitly mentioned on the minimum due figure that this is bare minimum and this incurs heavy interest on outstanding amount along with interest? Can’t RBI and finance ministry mandate a rule that against minimum due amount on statement they have to clearly say how much extra interest people have to pay if they only pay minimum due?
Please retweet so that this reaches the right people. I will also be reaching out to the RBI
@abidsensibull Comparison should begin at home no? Our history is more important than anyone else's..
No end to comparing with neighbours.. eventually you will cross the Atlantic or Pacific or the Mediterranean till you find the richest 'neighbours' in the world..
Ask 100 Indians what Borosil makes & 99 will tell you about the microwave safe glass bowl sitting in their kitchen cabinet.
They have no idea that the same company quietly engineered a high precision materials breakthrough that powers global cleantech supply chains :))
In 2010, long before "Atmanirbhar Bharat" became a mainstream tech narrative, India imported 100% of its solar glass, primarily from China. Solar glass is not standard window glass. It requires extremely low iron content so light passes straight through to the PV cells w/o reflecting away precious energy.
The Kheruka family decided to solve a fundamental physics problem in materials science: How do you make solar glass thinner w/o making it fragile?
Standard solar panels used heavy 3.2mm / 4mm tempered glass. The extra weight limited roof loads, complicated logistics & raised production costs.
Borosil’s R&D team spent yrs perfecting chemical formulations & precision thermal tempering processes at their plant in Bharuch, Gujarat.
The result?
They engineered & commercialized the world’s 1st 2mm fully tempered solar glass.
Why this matters for engineering.....
- Thin glass normally shatters under high heat / thermal shock. Achieving full structural temper on a 2mm sheet meant the glass could survive extreme weather, hail impacts & high winds while cutting module weight by 30%+.
- Lower thickness means less light absorption within the glass matrix itself, boosting overall solar cell efficiency.
- They eliminated toxic antimony from their glass formulation, creating a 100% recyclable solar glass, a feat European manufacturers took yrs to replicate.
Beyond clean energy, if you walk into any premier research lab across India, from CSIR institutions to university chemistry departments, the volumetric flasks, beakers & distillation setups lining the benches bear the iconic Borosil stamp.
Standard glass expands & contracts unpredictably when heated, ruining precise fluid measurements. Borosil’s low-expansion borosilicate 3.3 formulation withstands rapid thermal shifts up to 300°C w/o cracking, providing the baseline accuracy Indian scientists have relied on for decades to run core chemical & biological experiments.
While the consumer brand built a household name on kitchen durability, the underlying mastery of high-purity silica, thermal dynamics & thin-film glass tempering turned a domestic glassware maker into a global solar materials innovator.
Remember, the glass sitting on your dinner table comes from the exact same chemical DNA that powers the clean energy transition.
It’s been a minute.
2015–2018
- Exited FreeCharge. Spent time learning and investing.
- Pondered about: Why can't trust be rewarded? Started with $1M of personal capital.
- Launched CRED to reward people for paying credit card bills on time.
2019–2025
- Built a system run by a team that values ownership, judgment, and craft.
- Grew from 0 to 17M members by aligning incentives with behaviour.
- Built several products during COVID lockdowns.
- Raised $900M+ from global investors. Did 4 ESOP buybacks.
- Made Indiranagar and IPL ads slightly more interesting.
- Received a full stack of regulatory licences.
- Lost 35 kilos.
- Scaled from 0 to ~$325M ( ~₹3,200 crore) in annual revenue across payments, lending, insurance, commerce, wealth, and credit cards.
2026
- First profitable quarter (yet occasionally asked what our business model is)
- Raised another $900M from Meta in primary and secondary capital.
- Announcing our 5th ESOP buyback.
Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.
@abhihiremath94@piyushchaudhry Good to establish your own foundation and rely less on FII investment in markets. Preferably route all investment into building the economy on ground by establishing businesses & factories providing jobs to millions. Markets will follow.
@abhihiremath94@piyushchaudhry Highest rate and volume of Fii withdrawals from Indian markets over the last few years. Unprecedented. And yet were back to where we were 2 years ago. Guess the double engine managed to keep the markets afloat despite the challenges.
