PAW Mombasa is looking for Youth Coexistence Storytelling Fellows to help document powerful stories of compassion, challenge harmful myths, and inspire communities to build a future where people, animals and the environment thrive together.

This is a FREE opportunity that includes:
Training in ethical storytelling & documentary filmmaking
Photography & content creation skills
Mentorship from experienced professionals
Certificate of participation
Hands-on experience in One Health, animal welfare and environmental conservation

No filmmaking experience? No problem! We welcome enthusiastic young people who are ready to learn, create and make an impact.

The racoon is undergoing treatment at Isapet Veterinary clinic. He's quite traumatised and suffered several fractures from being bitten.
He's scared and wary of humans.

We often villianise what we fear or don't understand...it is the easier route. We do this even with fellow humans.

There's no religion that accepts harming of animals, yet we do it easily, forgetting that God/universe (whatever your beliefs) will not just judge us on treatment of other humans but how we were shepherds of other creatures on earth.

How hard is it to treat other creatures humanely? It is such people that would easily turn on another human being should the opportunity for zero persecution arise.

St. Francis of Assisi devoted his life to seeing God in all creation and treating animals with compassion.

Yet some people mock animal welfare as if caring for animals is somehow against faith.

Cruelty is not faith.
Neglect is not faith.
Compassion is.

You cannot honour the Creator while abusing His creation. 🐾
