@JacopoPiazzardi @_art_dude_ until we get ENOUGH people in office who want the best for us, and not for themselves, nothing will change. we cannot vote on these laws ourselves, we can only elect people to do so. our system is messed up, and as long as our country stays extremely divided we won’t get better.

@JacopoPiazzardi @_art_dude_ hi, yes, this is literally what we want. capitalism CAN work, that’s not what i’m saying, but American CEO’s and the rich have corrupted the US by buying out politicians so that they can make more money in their companies. this is something that happens often.

@_art_dude_ i personally doubt any change will happen to limit gun violence in this country until either we get actual people who care in office (unlikely) or we go to war with the government (also probably unlikely).

@_art_dude_ a lot of people here believe in gun control (at least to an extent) our government is extremely corrupt, change is unlikely to occur. politicians accept big payouts and “donations” to vote the way the rich want them to, democracy in the USA is a lie. capitalism has corrupted us.

@peytoneliot having *consistent* coaches in swimming vs having diff coaches in track/xc, that we didn’t know as long/trust as much, made a difference for me. plus swimming was definitely more fun… at least in middle school/early high school 😂
