Yesterday, officers from the neighboring communities joined us and W.A.R.M., Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E., clergy, & community leaders for a Public Safety Community Walk. We promoted unity, safety, and awareness in Harlem—sharing resources & building stronger bonds with our neighbors.

NEW in today’s @NYDailyNews: the NYPD in 2024, by the numbers — staffing is down, response times are up and the crushing workload is driving cops and recruits away.

For a safer 2025, Albany and City Hall must invest in recruiting and retaining the Finest.

The bravest member of @NYPD25Pct , Officer Astel, responded to his final call 87 years ago. Responding solo to a robbery at East 130 Street & Madison Avenue,he was shot twice, and continued to fight up until his final moments. We will never forget his bravery & sacrifice.

What a fantastic day at the NYPD's annual Medal Day Ceremony!

Today, thanks to the devotion and hard work of every member of the 25th Precinct, we were honored with a 2023 Unit Citation. Congratulations to all our members & all other award recipients!

Our Officers were humbled to join @NYCPBA and family members earlier today at the Inwood-Manhattan Little League • as teams honored our fallen former Cadet, @NYPD32Pct Detective First Grade Wilbert Mora, as well as his partner Jason Rivera & @NYPD34Pct Michael Buczek.

We will #neverforget @NYPD25Pct Patrolman James J. Flanagan who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1931. May he rest in eternal peace.

From a domestic violence call to a remarkable arrest. Tracking a stolen phone led to the discovery of the suspect, known to carry a firearm. With precision, they located and safely recovered the weapon. Kudos to these officers for their dedication and bravery! 🚔👏 #SafetyFirst

On July 25, 1996 • Two of our bravest @NYPD25Pct members saved a 2 year old girl & her family from a burning car on 116th Street • Today • she stands reunited with our retired members, and will wear our member’s shield, as she promises to #PayItForward

Recently, officers from the Citywide Community Response Team were working in the @NYPD25Pct when they spotted a male casing a commercial establishment. After stopping him & conducting an investigation, they found this loaded firearm in his possession & quickly arrested him.
