Multipath #congestioncontrol, as as embodied in MPTCP, takes advantage of #Internet path diversity by spreading traffic across multiple paths/network interfaces. Unfortunately, MPTCP significantly lags behind the performance of modern single-path designs.
Many #Internet applications need high bandwidth but are not time sensitive. This motivates a #congestioncontrol โscavengerโ that voluntarily yields to higher-priority applications.
@felixding In fact, the results from Proteus are even better than those two existing primary protocols. 3) We admit future work should be needed to enhance Proteus's performance in wireless environment, e.g., by designing better noise handling mechanisms.
