An Amazon delivery driver in Kentucky is going viral after he stopped to untangle and salute an American flag outside a customer’s home after he dropped off their order 🇺🇸🫡
In May 2016, 15-year-old Karinya “Yaya” Chen was in hospice care in Austin, Texas after years of fighting cancer. She had tickets to see Florence The Machine, but by the night of the concert, she was simply too sick to go.
So the people at Hospice Austin reached out to the band.
And Florence Welch came to her.
Florence and guitarist Rob Ackroyd walked into Karinya’s room and gave her the concert she couldn't make it to. They sang “Shake It Out” and “Dog Days Are Over,” with Karinya singing and harmonizing right alongside them.
A few months later, Karinya lost her battle with cancer at just 15 years old.
But for one afternoon, none of that seemed to matter.
There was just a young girl, one of her favorite singers, a guitar, a room full of people who loved her... and music.
Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can become one of the biggest moments of someone's life.
This is what being human is supposed to look like.🙏
@Mollyploofkins No raids for the 2 biggest states that have undocumented workers, Florida and Texas....must be because he actually doesn't care about illegals unless it hurts blue states?
@billybob_reboot@JebraFaushay Hey in florida people did that with Biden. Seems this will be interesting to do to people who love retaliation - think Columbia, Mexico, Fauci…should be interesting to watch how they respond when the tables turn. Stupid and ridiculous but interesting
@Acyn Canadians live 4 years longer than Americans and have a higher level of:
-reading comprehension
-health
-math comprehension
-ability to stop drooling
Meiselas: Trump said, “I want Canada to be a 51st state.” He says if that happened, it would be so much better for the Canadian citizens—they would have much better health coverage..
Canadian MP Charlie Angus: If this was a clown show, it would be a lot of fun, but it’s not—because it’s deadly serious. But, you know, Donald, this little card I have here? That’s my health card. I just walk into a hospital, give them my health card, and I get free coverage. That’s how health care is delivered in Canada.
We don’t have people who pay and people who are denied. So, when you start mentioning health care to Canadians, that gets our back up very quickly. And it also shows that either you don’t understand what you’re doing, or what you’re offering us is a malignant threat.
I just got back from grocery shopping.
I'm pleased to report NOT ONE ITEM in my cart was from USA. I was able to substitute them all, starting with Bick's pickles & moving on down the aisles.
#IAmCanadian & I am happy to support every other country in the world with my business.
Trump just said we could use tariffs to completely eliminate income taxes.
FACTS:
- We import $3.7 trillion in good and services per year.
- We raise $2.5 trillion from income taxes annually.
- This means we would need a 67% tariff on all imports.
SAY IT LOUDER! Senator and educator from Hawaii Brian Schatz has hit the nail on the head! It’s never been about the price of eggs or gas; it’s about how Americans are being gaslit!
While “Trump and his billionaire friends are ripping us off,” too many are blind to the real issue. Time to wake up and hold the powerful accountable!
