@BradMunchen Honestly the cost of mobile plans in the US is outrageous, and it's ripe for disruption. In other markets where a new entrant came to break into an existing oligopoly, the race to the bottom was devastating for incumbents.
@joecarlsonshow Windows is no longer the cash cow it used to be though, and Linux completely dominates in term of installations (thanks to phones, servers and embedded).
Also there's very little switching costs for LLMs, unlike with an OS where it's enormous.

Not entirely sold on the 2008-2026 analogy but a lot of sound points on the accounting shenanigans of the AI infrastructure world.

Before Tesla’s public displays of its autonomous capability, including a robotaxi pilot in Texas, staffers mapped routes and trained the software on specific hazards to make the self-driving technology appear more capable than it really is https://t.co/Zkh01RrR8d @specialreports
@MichaelAArouet@__nikskip__ Same as every other conspiracy theorists: dumb people feeling intelligent because they believe differently than the mainstream, which tells them that Russia sucks (which it does by any objective measure)
@evantindell The French legal system is completely overwhelmed, it takes many years for cases to get to trial (and if there's some appeals up the system, this can take well over a decade)
