I'm not very active on X, but I'm reposting this from my Facebook. https://t.co/CcoMEIUIqv
"For the past 10 years, nearly a third of my life, I’ve devoted myself entirely to building Loop Internet. Words don’t exist for how grateful I am to everyone who has helped me along the way and to the amazing team we built. I could never have imagined it would grow into what it has become today.
I’ve come to realize that my greatest strength lies in incubating new and unconventional ideas and finding creative ways to bring them to life. Because of that, I feel my ability to add meaningful value to the Loop and Greenlight teams has reached its natural conclusion. Yesterday was my last official day as CEO and as an employee of Loop Internet. The Greenlight team has an outstanding reputation and I know our customers and employees are in good hands. I’m also really excited to share what I’ll be working on next very soon."
@ewarren How is giving AI work a loophole? Let capitalism do its thing. All of that work will just be done overseas by AI instead then. You people still don’t get it.
@btc_there4_i_am@Jason When they say “datacenters are going to cause cancer”. And then cite electronic waste disposal; which doesn’t even happen locally. Ya.. I can’t take you seriously.
@sierracatalina@thinkingshivers I think it’s the opposite. Shareholders need unload their bags and they need to raise more capital and it’s getting harder to do on the private market.
@alexanderbittan I want to love Meta but they have done a terrible job executing on their projects. Oculus is a bit of a dud. Their AI is probably the worst out there.. and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
@edon_d@trillhause_@SinaHartung I’m pretty sure it was a lot more than that.. but I don’t remember off hand. But yea; he made investments in like 10 different companies that were all super high performing investments.
