PCN Action Scotland attended the Isle of Barra & Vatersay Science Festival last week. Spreading the word about what PCN are, the issue with ground keepers, and the importance of sourcing clean seed. We also sampled some local potato crops which all looked very healthy! 🪱🥔

@GhostOfOrwell84 @BBCNews Good morning, we advise at least 6 years between potatoes in any given field. Extending rotations will help to protect new varieties against pests & diseases. PCN are tricky though as they can survive in the soil for long periods of time (~20 years!) 🥔
