“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say, ‘It’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.”
— Fred Rogers
Trump just stripped protections from millions of acres at Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments.
Indigenous people have fought for these sacred lands for generations. The Trump administration is once again handing our sacred homelands and public lands over to billionaires and corporations.
I've fought for these lands before — and won. We're not stopping now.
@S_Pedian@TheTNHoller@GovBillLee Yes, because they can buy our land so cheaply. But they don't give a rats ass about the communities. And the Republicans obviously don't care about the communities. They sure don't want them any smarter!
Wow. Even the MAGAEST MAGA of all MAGAS is asking the question that everyone is asking, why is the most fragile snowflake on Earth, who wants to investigate comedians and reporters, doesn't want to investigate an attempt on his own life? It's as if... it never happened.
THOMAS MASSIE: “It’s ironic that we control the House, Senate, Supreme Court, & the White House -- and we're yelling 'election fraud'? We won all the damn elections.
What are we doing with that? We’re bankrupting the country. We’re starting new wars. We’re violating the Constitution. We’re not cracking down on the fraud. The problem is not the elections. We won the damn elections. The problem is that we’re wasting the opportunity voters gave us."
Trump Spox: "Electricians, plumbers -- we need more of those in our country, and less LGBTQ graduate majors from Harvard University. And that's what this administration's position is." @atrupar (2025)
An internal CIA survey most Americans will never see found rising numbers of the agency's own analysts worried that political pressure from this administration is corrupting the difference between what's true and what the president wants to hear. That's not an outside critic's assessment. That's the rank and file, the people who actually write the briefings, saying it themselves, anonymously, because they're afraid to say it any other way.
The specific example analysts cited says everything. Two senior career officers dismissed after refusing to rewrite an assessment that Venezuela wasn't directing the Tren de Aragua gang, an assessment the administration wanted flipped because the opposite conclusion provided legal cover for deporting Venezuelan immigrants. That's not intelligence informing policy. That's policy dictating what the intelligence is allowed to say.
The Iran precedent makes the pattern impossible to dismiss as one bad incident. Lieutenant General Jeffrey Kruse ran the Defense Intelligence Agency's assessment that last year's strikes set Iran's nuclear program back only a few months, not the "obliterated" Trump claimed publicly. He got fired for it, Hegseth citing "loss of confidence," a career officer with decades of nonpartisan service removed because his agency's analysis contradicted the president's talking point. When truth telling costs officers their jobs and their security clearances, and sometimes gets their names posted to hostile blogs, you don't get more accurate intelligence going forward. You get intelligence shaped in advance to survive contact with the White House.
Campbell: I've talked to sources before, for example, who say that when the FBI was heavily involved in these immigration task forces, sometimes ICE would not invite the FBI agents to come with them because the FBI has body cameras. And these ICE agents would tell the FBI agents, according to my sources, we don't want this filmed.
January 6th is when Lindsey went on the floor and said he was done with Trump. Then Kevin McCarthy, then Mitch McConnell (all in this clip).
They could have walked away and followed through with the impeachment.
Don't ever forget that it's been the Republicans in Congress who have enabled this for the last 10 years.
As @Rep_Walkinshaw said — any senator that votes to confirm Todd Blanche for A.G. Is complicit in the Epstein Files cover up. Period, full stop.

Someone should tell Trump that this will cause the price of gasoline to go up. If he starts charging fees for tankers in the strait the cost of oil will increase. It's a global commodity. If the price goes up in the Middle East it goes up everywhere.
.@SarahLongwell25: "This isn't even a close call on Todd Blanche. The fact that we are in a world where Republicans could see fit to make this guy the highest law enforcement officer in the land should cause people to freak out. It is an insane thing."
UPDATE: @MarshaBlackburn has officially DECLINED to participate 🐔 in the debate July 20th - taking Republican voters for granted. (Rose & Fritts will be there)

#BREAKING: Psaki: “Multiple outlets are reporting tonight that Donald Trump has essentially wiped out what is left of the US Election Assistance Commission that is a bipartisan commission that helps states and local officials run elections. They certify election equipment, they distribute federal election funds, they maintain the national mail voter registration form, they basically do a whole bunch of things that help elections across the country run smoothly. But as we have seen through his actions over and over and over again, Donald Trump does not want elections in this country to run smoothly, quite the opposite.”🤦♀️
There is absolutely NO reason to slam that boy's head on stone. He was already restrained.
There was NO reason to point their tasers at people observing. They weren't obstructing.
These ICE thugs have to be brought to justice!
They shot the wrong man. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo… 52, father of three, no record, seeking a work permit… was picking up his construction crew on his way to work.
He wasn't even their target.
ICE gunned him down and called it self-defense.
A working man is dead. DEAD.
