As president, I will sign into law a new Voting Rights Act. We will:
✅End gerrymandering
✅Get big money out of politics
✅Have automatic and same-day voter registration
✅Finally put an end to voter suppression efforts that block access to the ballot box
Looking forward to being back in Des Moines on Tuesday for a CNN town hall. Hope you'll tune in and join your neighbors at one of the many organizing watch parties taking place across the country. Find one here: https://t.co/amgcphQ0MF
Learned a ton from those we’ve met during our more than 60 town halls and public events across the 34 counties of Iowa that we’ve had the opportunity to visit so far. Really looking forward to sharing some of this when we’re back in the state next week. https://t.co/dwx6xTOnt4
Donald Trump does not believe that every person is in this country is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. We need a President who will stand up for the rights of all of our neighbors. I am proud to support @BetoORourke for President of the United States.
Lots on immigration/separation at the border. With Mother’s Day tomorrow, @BetoORourke asks crowd to think of the mothers in Honduras etc. who don’t know where their kids are in the U.S. “We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to set this country right again.” #nhpoli#fitn
This is incorrect, @CillizzaCNN. I was at @BetoORourke's 1st Senate campaign rally, and watched him grow.
People loved that he rejected PAC money, embraced #MedicareForAll, made stances on taboo racial issues that his predecessors were reluctant to address, etc. Policy mattered.
Progress will not sustain itself.
History can roll in reverse.
No victory is final.
And the work is never finished.
We too will fight.
We too will march on.
We too will do great things.
And we too will do them together.

We are going everywhere, listening to everyone, writing nobody off, and taking nobody for granted because this is a grassroots, no-PAC campaign for America -- for everyone in America.

It’s going to take all of us to be successful, not just against Donald Trump in November of 2020, but for this country in January of 2021 and beyond. Thank you, @IndivisibleTeam for the opportunity to sign on.
As @BetoORourke was leaving rally, a disabled woman called out to him. He got out of his car just to speak with her and take a picture @CBS8 @thecwsandiego @News8
“Beto O'Rourke unveiled a sweeping $5 trillion plan on Monday to combat what he calls the "greatest threat" facing the United States today: climate change. The plan garnered praise from a number of prominent environmental organizations”

Heading into Yosemite National Park to talk about our historic climate action plan. Follow along throughout the day and read the plan at https://t.co/T41DaUruQ1
Don’t need to wait until tomorrow on this. The law is wrong. It must be overturned. And we must enact a new Voting Rights Act so every person is able to cast their vote, have their voice heard, fully participate in our democracy.
“O’Rourke said the influence of money can be seen in the criminal justice system, because people are jailed for using non-addictive drugs like marijuana, but Purdue Pharma executives who had a hand in marketing dangerous opioids are not serving jail time.” https://t.co/Lvw3csHk1v
One terrific character in the @RunningWithBeto doc is a volunteer named Shannon (in the teal shirt on stage). How's she feeling after watching it for the first time just now? “Wishing I had an IV of vodka going," she says.
