We're finally at it! After years of preliminary work and a fair amount of persistence, we will document over 200 years of peatland change. It's a great group and looking forward to using these #historical#bog#maps and getting on the ground. @SoGAIS_NUIG
Agreed. In Ireland 20k farmers will be part of the Cooperation Element of the CSP AECM from 2023. This has been designed around the work of #EIPagri and @LIFEprogramme funded projects. It has potential to hugely benefit farmers & env via a ‘more’ integrated land use policy
Farmers of Donegal, Mayo and Galway

"The scheme gives me a small sense that I’m doing my bit for the environment and I’m getting rewarded for it." Great to chat to James Forrest recently about rewetting a bog he used to cut turf on for the @pearl_mussel project. https://t.co/SA9kMhqucF
Looking forward to presenting at #PeatlandPavilion at #Cop26 tomorrow on use of results-based agri-env payments to deliver improved outcomes for farmed peatlands. See links 👇
