Out on #OE21 today and focusing on use of mobile phones - one offence of note is illegal tints which facilitate using a phone without detection. So far today across @MPSNewham and @MPSTowerHam the lowest we've had is 5% - the legal limit is 70%! 5 tickets given so far in 3hrs!

A BMW catches my eye tonight on the #A12. After a short pursuit the driver decamps but leaves his tools of the trade behind. Team work with ⁦⁦@The_GingerRat⁩ discovers it was stolen just minutes before. Car reunited with owner who was unaware it had gone. #EastRPU #TDJ

This chap though it was safe whilst travelling halfway up the slip lane off the #A13, to then change his mind and rejoin the main carriageway. Perhaps being under the influence of drink had something to do with it? #drinkdrive #fatal4

Thought the motorist that I caught this afternoon was trying to get ‘back to the future!’ At 88mph in a in 70 limit. When stopped he turned out to be uninsured and had a revoked driving licence. Vehicle seized and off to court we go. #TDJ #eastRPU #fatal5

Tonight I’m conduction speed enforcement on the A12. Upon spotting me at the last moment this Mercedes driver panicked and slammed on his brakes to slow down. Caught up with him and reported for without due care & other vehicle faults #EastRPU #PG9 #TDJ #VisionZero @AnonPC4

Hunting the back streets of Ilford this morning and found this BMW M3 parked up. Auto crimes examination done and found to be stolen. Been resprayed and on false plates & vin. Now recovered #EastRPU #LOS #MetPol

Came across the unluckiest disqualified driver. He knew he was disqualified, but borrowed his friends car anyway. What he didn’t know was his friend was also a disqualified driver and his car was flagged on ANPR. Stopped & arrested #EastRPU #MetPol #DisqualifiedDriving #A127
