I do know and appreciate the GenZ Movement does not have a leadership structure as yet, but I am offering free advisory now: let the current online/X hosts and coordinators of the X Spaces (loosely translated to mean 'coordinators'), come out immediately and issue a joint statement condemning the deliberate and openly targeted wanton destruction of property, looting and lawlessness in CBDs Nairobi and Mombasa this afternoon clothed by other elements infiltrating their peaceful demos. The wave of property destruction going on is not a GenZ thing. The level of infiltration in these demos, is on the peak. Peaceful protests by GenZ are being taken over by politicians to achieve opportunistic, partisan and non-patriotic political objectives.

For context, a couple of minutes before, I’d seen a cop hurl teargas into the Holy Family Basilica parking lot where the medics had set up their tent. Did not make sense to me because I could see protestors at the exit gate of the church, so ideally that tear gas should have been lobbed at them. But this was almost directly towards the tent. I tried making my way round to go see what was happening there, and I saw her coming out of the gate, coughing, headed straight at the cops. Intuition screamed to follow her…and my heart broke with every second of this dialogue.
