@Miyhnea Reading proper academic papers is an underrated form of recreation, there are many good academic writers and topics out there. The more obscure/niche/esoteric, the better.

Really weird to think about how if Taiwan was never demographically dominated by Han Chinese just about 200 years ago, we would consider it consider it a part of South East Asia today like the Phillippines, and not an East Asian country like China.

@GrkemYa61745713 @adamcchang It is actually a strong argument, if you consider the fact that the Taiwanese natives are Austronesian like the Filipinos, while the Okinawans are Japonic (not Japanese, Japanese are a branch of the Japonic family.)
