Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sabha elections may go down as one of CM Mohan Yadav's most remarkable political calls.

The numbers clearly suggested BJP would win 2 seats, while Congress was expected to comfortably secure the 3rd with Meenakshi Natarajan. Yet BJP fielded a 3rd candidate.

When questioned, CM Mohan Yadav confidently said all three BJP candidates would win.

Congress grew nervous enough to move its MLAs to Karnataka to prevent any possibility of cross-voting. But the election took an unexpected turn when Meenakshi Natarajan's nomination was rejected after objections were raised over the non-disclosure of a pending criminal case in Telangana.

With the Congress candidate out of the race, BJP's prediction became reality—all 3 BJP candidates were elected.

The most interesting part? Mohan Yadav's confidence came days before the nomination was rejected. While others were focused on the numbers, he appeared certain that the political equation would change.

Sometimes politics is not just about arithmetic—it's also about anticipation.
