@Qullamaggie@jackschwager@gfc4 2 small kids, full time job & just started taking trading seriously. After reading your chapter, the last part where you mention people like me better quit or stop cause we can’t put the necessary time to make this work, hit me hard mentally ngl. Still want to make it work tho
@trader_mist@KillerT_ I think he has enough third party verifications from different entities/people.
I don’t understand the bitter shitty engagement in the trading world tbh. He is not going to verify his claims to a nobody like you. Whether you want to trust the other parties or no is up to you
@roleston@RealSimpleAriel My mindset and goal and how I look at it, is to become consistently profitable working full time first. That along will remove so much job stress in case something happens. You will have that freedom of taking your time to find something else until you can make it full time
@roleston@RealSimpleAriel I work in IT as well as SRE and I’m getting into trading as well although I’m not profitable though and I finally pulled the trigger due to the same worries, layoffs and job stability. IT unfortunately is not what it used to be.
@davidgu@Diwann Are you running always-on packet captures? If so, would you mind explaining how you do it? Just thinking running always on with your amount of traffic and it must be crazy with all the noise
@realpristinecap I read the whole thing thinking that it stopped at #7 because my feed was not loading the #8 tweet properly lol
Thanks for taking the time to respond!
Hopefully one day I can follow similar steps!
Good luck though. Wishing you the best!
@kimanncurtin@CREAMtrader What if what made him succeed was that “all or nothing”? Maybe having a backup plan, his focus wouldn’t have been 100% on trading.
I feel that in retrospection it’s easier to see what we would have done different but maybe the outcome would’ve been different as well.
@TheOneLanceB Keep hearing often one should focus on a specific instrument in the beginning, but how does one know what to trade? How do I know I want to focus on learning how to trade stocks vs for example futures? Does the instrument really matter that much?
@pitdesi Passthrough doesn’t look like that at all. Don’t let them fool you. That’s only how it looks when it’s recorded and you see the video of somebody using it. In reality it’s super blurry and grainy and sometimes you can’t even distinguish what you are looking at.
@rangergary613 @Trader_Dante Having more screens is just convenience, you don’t have to be looking and processing the info from 5-6 screens constantly.
But you can set them up in a way where you don’t need to constantly change windows so you know where to always look.
@DekmarTrades I know it’s not the best business model if eventually you want to be more known and generate more revenue but quality > quantity always. Chats like that are impossible to follow if you want to talk seriously or discuss something and there’s 0 value on it 99% of the time
@DekmarTrades Spaniard here. My english took off when I started talking with people, then I moved to the states and that of course was much much better but not everybody can do that when learning a language. Just don’t be shy and use it. Try talk with people, that will definitely help
