@mcdonamw@Bungie I've been working professionally as a software engineer since 2005 and I love these! It's always fun to get a peek in to how other development teams work, especially ones that are creating a game that you love. So, I guess they're making these posts for me.
@chris_csguy@peterbourgon Right - the fact that he is doubling down on it instead of simply apologizing speaks volumes. It makes one wonder if this is the kind of narcissistic and rude behavior that, over time, resulted in a ban.
@kenhowardpdx It highly depends on what you're rolling out and where. My current bread and butter app only has 4 environments and I have done quite a bit to make my devops as simple as possible.
@Kujay_ Right - that's why on older consoles when you go to preview an item in your vault you have to wait for the 3D model to load in. You know, the one that the already loaded because of lazy @Bungie. ;)
This is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a while. What is your source here?
@KyleBlessing@Originalfluff_ Man - with all the shit that's gone down in 2020/1, imagine trying to beat down another human for trying to promote themselves on twitter and get a job. Keep it up, bless. If memory serves, @ProZD got his first major gig via a silly meme YT video he made.
@GDLKscrub My issue happened to be fixed WITHOUT power, but it takes straight up USB power so you probably have a usb power supply / wall adapter you could use to test.
@BungieHelp I need clarification on Belmon's algorithm. Does "Incoming Void and aerial damage increased" mean I take more damage while I am in the air? Or that damage from enemies in the air to me is increased? It means the latter, correct?
@arvalis I went to the "Power University" website linked on that image and it's 100% about how not to be a "Beta Male" with quotes like "That’s why a low quality, unprincipled woman, could get to me years ago". WTF is wrong with these people?
As an @angular developer, I find this to be a massive bummer; the inner turmoil also jives with what the external community saw with #ivy. It's for sure worth a read: https://t.co/0RiWrcfJq9
@tannerlinsley Dude. So much this. I inherited a project where they use NgRx for *everything*, so everything in the app is part of the "global state", and it's ridiculous. Every time I rip something that's not global state out of the state library, I squash multiple bugs. Every. Time.
@blaadeeblaa@addyosmani@dhh@domfarolino@annevk@zcorpan Agreed. In all of my implementations of lazy loading, I have loaded the images *before* they come into view (like when the user gets within, say, 1,000px of a given image, load it). It mostly solves that image pop-in problem you're referring to.
@eu_west_3 @eu_frey@addyosmani@dhh@domfarolino@annevk@zcorpan Yeah - somebody pointed out a fundamental flaw in his library and he marked it as deprecated just now. I tested it and got the same result. See this issue for more details: https://t.co/eT3SgisWAF
Congratulations to the @TinyGolang team. This project has been on my radar for a while and is, IMHO, one of the most interesting things happening in the #golang ecosystem.
Breaking news from the #golang devroom here at #FOSDEM2020 that we are very excited to share with you: #tinygo is now officially a Google sponsored project!
