I cannot believe this story is getting buried data centers are striking private deals with utility companies to offload the costs of their energy usage onto average people

Concentration camps. Open air abductions. Forced disappearances. Paying foreign countries to take deported migrants without judicial process or even identify verification. And people excitedly crowing about how this is exactly what they voted for. It’s sick, sadistic, and scary.
lock tf in. get your ass in mutual aid groups. lend your time to meal services. care for people in the way a vote simply never could. advocate for community gardens and libraries. stop betraying community. you don’t get a sticker or gold star. lock in.
people mistake ‘no space for hate’ as ‘no space for people disliking me because of my actions or general lack of morals’
the entire problem is people narrowing systemic issues to individuals.
‘no space for oppression’ doesn’t quite roll off the tongue does it lol
@dontwantadothis I wrote an article on this phenomenon and my experience with it when I was still doing student journalism. Under late-stage capitalism, it's like space and time have taken the place of communal care in times of grief, like a "currency of loss"

Per usual, I see a lot of people say “free Congo” as an add on to being called out for only caring about one cause at a time, but there’s rarely any information being shared about what’s happening in the DRC. so I will attempt to coherently explain (a 🧵):
As a disabled person, I see this living situation and think of constant discomfort, back pain, noise, extreme heat, lack of accessible bathroom, & more. Please donate to help Sara, a person with disabilities similar to my own, access the shelter and health care she needs. ❤️🔥🍉
@sahouraxo The school has not fully divested yet! They have agreed to creating policy that, as long as the school continues to follow through, will see to it that a process of divestment happens over the next 2 years (through 2026) - keep the pressure on! / pc: southsoundabolition on IG
Students at the Evergreen State College have successfully negotiated with administration and the school has agreed on developing policy for divestment from companies aligned with the genocide (and more) - a huge win at Rachel Corrie's alma mater 🤍🇵🇸
