In this case, bringing awareness to how the foot contacts the ground helped the athlete position himself for a faster acceleration.
I reached a top speed of 21.53 miles per hour with the wind in my face. I’m 6 feet 4 inches tall and weigh 180 pounds. The offseason has been going well.

Great thread 👏
Reminded me of an awesome article from Coach McConnell of the @ArizonaCoyotes on the importance of Active Recovery. Had to dig deep in the archives of the @VoltAthletics blog for this one: https://t.co/9Ckrwn9yfN
Instead of not doing anything the day after you throw
Or running poles/icing… do this low level movement work
1. Extensive chest pass (normal + single arm)
2. Extensive band pulses
3. Band assisted neutral grip hang
4. KB thread needle
5. T-spine/pec opener

It’s Monday. The month of November just started
If you’re a spring sport athlete, this gives you 3-5 months of training (depending on where you live)
Start today: 3-4 consistent days per week of a good speed/strength program
You’ll be a different person when the spring comes!
A well-designed and well-executed training plan is one of the most effective and commonly used means of improving athletic performance and decreasing the risk of injury.
Well-designed AND well-executed.
Both conditions must exist, and are the responsibility of the coach.
