I treated myself to my first bike in 20 years literally 3 weeks ago, and due to the weather and children and life, I just finally got to take it out for a quick spin and AHHHH I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE BIKING
Confederation Trail is a #pei treasure that the King govt seems intent on destroying if it allows ATV access. 700 pound machines do not play well with walkers, runners, bikers, seniors and moms with babies. This is the definition of asinine. https://t.co/JpYpD7L7Zi
Anyone want to work 2 full days a week at Founders Food Hall the next couple of months selling awesome hot sauce? Hot sauce people are pretty fun people!
My father is a volunteer trail officer who frequently cycles the Confederation Trail and talks to many people.
He reports: a tourist from Maine raved about the "pristine" trail and noted the absence of noisy, dangerous ATVs. #PEI
Today at Point Prim Lighthouse, a coin was announced by the Royal Canadian Mint, for #PEI 's 150th anniversary of entering Confederation. Lieutenant Governor Perry, Senator Downe, Senator Francis, and MLA Robin Croucher were in attendance.

I met him four years ago, and today had the final chance at CBS donation centre to say thank you Ewen Stewart! He was first person on #PEI to donate blood 1,000 times. Today at age 90, Ewen is retiring from blood donation, leaving an empty seat for the next dedicated donor.
Someone I know knows someone who loves hot sauce and talking to people about hot sauce. Evenings, weekends right til the end of the year. Founders Hall is pretty cool too.
72 year-old @JanMeulenkamp has long been an avid cyclist on #PEI. He’s come back from a bone-shattering accident and is now close to finishing his goal of a 40-thousand kilometre virtual cycling trip around the world. @NancyRussellCBC brings us his inspiring story on Mainstreet
My parents report _still_ no newspaper delivery in Cornwall, nearly a month now. Even a convenience store only gets it on random days.
I don’t know if @CBCPEI reports on other media, but many seniors are unhappy; they need a voice.

Still no newspaper delivery for some residents of Cornwall. For 2 weeks, seniors have been missing their @PEIGuardian and ... the sales flyers.
Unclear if advertisers are aware of this situation? (Again, for some, going online is not a viable option.)

Last Saturday marked one week of no paper delivery in Cornwall. My parents attended a social event recently; one neighbour, a senior, said "I'm just _ragin'_" over this.

p.s. Will the Guardian report on this story? 🤔
As a Dutchman coming to live in Toronto, I was told you can only cycle half the year. Struck me as odd since I also heard that Canadians wear shorts until it is -10ºC.
Now I know. It is not so much the weather. It is that they mostly only clean roads for cars, not for bicycles.
