Did you know that when Bowen University was founded, a huge number of muslim students were sponsored by one rich Iwo indigene to buy the University's Entrance Forms, and after they secured their admission, they began to agitate for a mosque on campus and hijab for female students, etc
When they were turned down, they began to hold prayers on the school field in defiance
When the school authority protested, they started a riot.
I have never seen Christians going into muslim schools or companies or institutions and demanding that rules must be changed for them
They knew it was a Baptist University, they knew it was a Christian institution, and yet they did all that.
The Inaugural Vice-Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor J. T. Okedara, had to retire early because of the trouble these students gave him
It took the intervention of the Nigeria Baptist Convention and a change of Vice-Chancellor for these students to be rusticated and for peace to be restored.

I was reading the news about International School, Ibadan, and I can see the same spirit of disruption and troublemaking at work.

I have never seen bandits wearing cassocks, carrying Bibles and shouting Hallelujah as they behead people

It is a paradox that people practising a religion can be fomenting trouble without provocation all over the world and still claim that they are a religion of peace.

Indeed, there is a spirit at work in every human being based on the faith they embrace.

King Charles has abandoned the title of “Defender of the Faith” to become “Defender of the FaithS.”
One tiny “S” — and Christian Britain is officially finished.
Going from singular to plural is identical with going from truth to relativism.

The longer a man lives in sin, the less sinful sin feels to him.

What once troubled the conscience can become normal through repeated practice. The first fall may bring fear, shame, and trembling, but when sin is entertained, excused, defended, and repeated, the heart begins to lose its tenderness. The soul grows familiar with what should have horrified it.

“But exhort one another day after day, as long as it is still called Today, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:13).

Sin does not only defile. It deceives. It teaches a man to rename rebellion as weakness, lust as desire, pride as confidence, bitterness as discernment, and compromise as wisdom. The more a person walks in darkness, the easier it becomes to call darkness normal.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20).

And then the world helps finish what sin began. When a whole culture celebrates what God condemns, shame begins to disappear. A man no longer blushes because everyone around him is applauding the same corruption. The crowd becomes his comfort, and popularity becomes his false absolution.

“Were they ashamed because of the abomination they had done? They certainly were not ashamed, and they did not know how to blush” (Jeremiah 6:15).

This is why sin must be fought early, confessed quickly, and brought into the light before the conscience becomes numb. A hardened heart is not formed in one moment. It is formed through many small surrenders, many ignored warnings, and many quiet agreements with the flesh.

If sin no longer grieves us, that itself should terrify us. The loss of shame is not freedom. It is a sign that the heart is being trained for judgment unless grace intervenes.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts” (Psalm 139:23).

Six reasons I can't go back to Islam.

1. The Quran repeatedly affirms the Torah that existed in the 7th century. Today, thanks to the Dead Sea Scrolls, we know that Torah is substantially the same Torah we have now.

2. The Quran retells stories of the prophets, but many of those details resemble Jewish oral traditions and Midrash rather than the Torah itself.

3. The claim that Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaaba has no clear historical or archaeological evidence behind it.

4. The Kaaba was never God's first sanctuary. Long before Islam, Scripture describes God's tabernacle, His presence, His covenant, and His instructions for worship.

5. Islam removes the biblical system of atonement. No mercy seat. No sacrifice. No Ark of the Covenant. Which leaves me asking: how is sin ultimately dealt with?

6. Jesus. Not as a theological concept. As a living Savior. I encountered Him. He pulled me out of performance-based religion and gave me peace I never found through striving.

You can debate doctrine all day.

But I can't unsee what I've seen.

I can't unknow what I've learned.

And I can't walk away from the One who changed my life.

No turning back.
