We're glad @peekskillpolice terminated this pursuit when it entered city streets. Great jobs by the officers for their restraint and helping ensure more drivers and pedestrians weren't put in danger.

@peekskillpolice just terminated a car chase that ran through downtown Peekskill, onto Rte 9 north, back south on 9 to just south of the city line, where a lone white male driver apparently crashed on his own.

We've reached out to PPD for info, but generally speaking this stretch has a ton of speeding and a history of crashes and desperately needs better design, maintenance and enforcement (this would be an idea place for speed cameras).
