@dr_andrealove It was a huge bummer when someone taught me that hand sanitizer doesn’t work against Noro.
It’s the #1 reason I have my kids wash their hands with soap every time we get home
@smalltown_wife@realtalkstruth As it should be, you’re partners.
Just like when he’s behind or stressed, I might pull more or go out of my way to help him. The same is true the other way around.
@truthandhyssop Have her practice on books that are easy for her not just ones that challenge her. It will boost her self esteem and save some of her energy for the ones that challenge her
@New_E_Mom Salt fat acid heat is a great book to learn cooking foundations
Same with the art of simple food by Alice Waters
You can often get cookbooks used for really cheap on thrift book sites
@TrueConsolation I have 4 kids. Not religious, so not quiverfull at all. Just wanted a big family. Happily on BC now that I don’t want any more.
Although I have considered homeschooling, mainly for the benefit of not having to juggle so many schedules.
@ambercfischer It would be one thing, if she got a different version of what she wanted and that was a similar price, but this looks like maybe a $50 dryer, but the thing she wanted is over $600.
Clearly the mom has done a very poor job of helping her daughter understand finances
@clhubes I’m thinking she must have kept saying she wanted broccoli for Christmas
I completely agree. I hate the fake presents/oh we took all your stuff away/etc prank videos with kids
@New_E_Mom Also all is fair in love and war . . . . and pregnancy.
If you need a babysitter, or preschool or whatever to get through that building phase, it’s all worth it in the end. It’s better than being too burnt out to enjoy it.
@New_E_Mom None of that matters in the end.
I remember going through it and thinking “ugh it will be X more years of pregnancy and not having my body”.
Now I’m past that stage and it all went by so fast. That’s not to say it wasn’t hard. It really was. Especially for pregnancy 3 & 4
