"Read for the world.
Read to solve its problems.
Read to separate reality from ranting,
Possibility from false promise.
And leaders from snake oil peddlers.
Read so you can tell the difference.
Because an educated person is so much harder
To control." https://t.co/5Oo6z2ZQlU

If you are an educational leader and you are making plans for reopening schools without involving teachers, parents and principals in your discussions, you should not be an educational leader.
@aj_wade You know who does a great job with all of this? @MrazKristine and @christine_hertz. I have learned so much about teaching students skillz vs. rewarding and punishing. All comes down to class community. Check out their book, #KidsFirstFromDay1
Many educators call themselves allies. But what does that look like in practice? These activities can help educators reflect on how they create—or restrict—space for all identities in their classrooms and schools.

"Niceness stays quiet. Kindness speaks up. Niceness is toxic. Kindness is healing. Niceness lies to keep the peace. Kindness knows the only way to make peace is to tell the truth. Niceness holds back. Kindness moves forward with humility, gentleness & grace." Allison Vesterfelt
The Dallas PD want you to believe 3 ppl traveled over 4 hrs to kill Joshua Brown over weed though he had no history of drug dealing, that they then *left* the weed behind, AND that this all coincidentally happened right after the trial in which he was a witness.
It's insulting.

New achievement findings reveal how “broken" state report-card system is. Kids in poor schools show same academic growth as others, but “the way the accountability system is set up, it's set up to punish high-poverty districts”. https://t.co/kfbOklZdIf
Sometimes learning happens within our bodies rather than solely through our brains. How might we use mindfulness and coaching to support our transformation, to undo conditioned habits, to recognize blindspots, and grow from our awareness?
Trouble has been a hit as our new addition to developmental play! While having fun we are also working on taking turns, playing by the rules, number recognition, and 1:1 correspondence when counting! #theacsway#clxleaders
