@smlungpathguy Did you read the DOJ complaint against the GI lab that ended in a 30 million odd $ settlement? This is exactly what they were doing. Up front specials and IHC on everything.
@smlungpathguy@yro854@Janiranavarro Yes, I agree - has been the norm since I entered practice in 2020. Volumes go up, less time per case, lots of cases get outside review as patients move around, history can be hard to find, never want to be wrong - easy to just throw IHC at it.
@smlungpathguy@yro854@Janiranavarro How do you approach for subtyping? I have had to present plenty of TTF1-negative CK7+ adenocarcinoma at tumor board due to some enthusiastic staining practices by colleagues. I think oncology gets tired of me saying "it's probably lung primary still"
