@pelham_jonathan On the bright side there are so many different accounts out there to be hacked that your individual account is unlikely. Just got to hope that you aren't the unlucky one becuase if someone really wanted to most people are easy to hack #2000chat
A3 I am concerned that I am not able to keep track of what is all associated with my digital identity. Because of how some sites are linked I worry that I may be associating things with my account without knowing #2000chat
A4 I feel like this makes it much too easy to connect everything together. While simplicity is nice, if that one main account gets compromised, than everything else can also be compromised. This just expands the information the social media accounts have access to #2000chat
I really like this; for instance, a question like what is your favorite sport? Instead you list your favorite food. Could be challenging to remember, but if you keep all your codes it would be worthwhile! #2000chat
@ouredit2000@ConnallyGabby I do have to agree with this. Personally, I have been very careful throughout college of what I post to my social media. It was instilled in me early on that I would be punished for posting anything that should not be! #2000chat
@ConnallyGabby Gabby - great point! Often times you don't know someone is mocking you or imitating you until it's far too late. A scary thought for sure!
Q3: I am always concerned my information will get taken. It is quite nerve racking the amount of hackers out there with the ability to take all of your hard drive information in a very small amount of time. #2000chat
@TrevorTinder @edit2000du Trevor, I agree! I often have the same worry that I am inadequately prepared and setting myself up for failure without knowing it! #2000chat
Q2: often student are able to sign on to various computers are over campus, to avoid identity theft I always ensure that I sign out when using these devices. further, when prompted if I want to save my password forever, I always click NO! #2000chat
Q1: In today's world, online identity to me is how google or other sites remember my passwords. On my laptop, or using my google ID my passwords are synced to several sites. Many of which are social media sites - another form of your digital identity. #2000chat
@sophieuga This is so cool! I wish I knew how to code. My understanding is that it is very complex, and thus, confusing. I have a friend who does analytics for Cox Media and 95% of his day is coding. This is definitely a valuable skill! #2000chat
@wenbolfe I also agree with this. I personally spend way too much time on social media. I wish I could disconnect sometimes in order to be more effective with my other commitments #2000chat
@ouredit2000 I would say it has been a life-long struggle. I feel comfortable with technology, but I am not efficient with it. However, this struggle has been exaggerated since being enrolled in college. Generally, college classes and curriculum require alot of computer knowledge. #2000chat
I struggle with Technology as a whole. Often how to download items, be more efficient, or be able to trouble shoot common computer issues pose quite the challenge for me. I wish in general I was more knowledgeable so I wouldn't struggle day to day! #2000chat
@pelham_jonathan I can agree with this wholeheartedly. I think I have an idea on how to use different technology at times, but then I learn of simple options that would have saved me hours of time that I never knew of #2000chat
