Some questions I want international media to start asking the wealthy people who flee Dubai:

Where is your maid? What happened to your driver? Did you bring your nanny with you?

Under the kafala system in these countries, your visa is linked to your employer. Your housing very often is too. If you are a Filipina nanny for a wealthy British family in Dubai and they abruptly leave, you have no visa to enter the UK with them. You now are in the UAE with no job and likely no place to stay. You probably have your own children at home in the Philippines to support.
