We have 2 exciting events to announce for this November:
1) A hackathon on "next generation bioimage analysis workflows", November 6th - 8th, https://t.co/cadgE7ynSW #OME_NGFF_hackathon
2) The BioVisionCenter Kick-Off Symposium, November 9th - 10th, https://t.co/fF1VCWQqnB
Really happy that @snsf_ch has granted me an Ambizione grant! I will combine systems biology & biophysics to explore the journey of an oocyte to an organism! so excited to start my independent research @UZH_en & very grateful to @HeisenbergCPLab & @pelkmanslab for their support.
Very proud to see this work finally in print, 3.5 years after a first version on bioRxiv 😅. A tour de force by @RaffaellaGallo_ and Arpan Rai with support from Alexa McIntyre and @katrinamey.

Happy to share #CAMPA 🏕, our new analysis method for highly multiplexed subcellular protein imaging. The first collaboration between @fabian_theis group and @pelkmanslab led by @HannahSpitzer1 and me. https://t.co/N34RK6NGPl 🧵 1/10
I successfully defended my PhD yesterday on the topic of “Multiplexed, Image-Based Systems Biology and Its Application to Stem Cell Differentiation”. These past years in the @pelkmanslab have been great & I’ve learned a lot about image analysis and cardiac differentiation. (1/8)
We have released a @napari_imaging plugin to interactively classify objects in the napari viewer. The plugin allows users to easily spot cell types, mitotic cells, segmentation artefacts and other objects of interest. (🧵1/10) https://t.co/it9tfO89me
Enjoy the latest preprint from @pelkmanslab about how Nuclear RNA concentration coordinates RNA production with cell size in human cells. Great work from @scottbscience and @muellermicha_@lucaspelkmans https://t.co/jbL1dvjncl
Congratulations to our #postdoc Alexa! She has been awarded with the prestigious Marie Sklodowska Curie postdoctoral #fellowship! Good luck on your #research @uzh @pelkmanslab
We are proudly presenting Dr. Raffaela Gallo, who recently defended her thesis on “The Dual Specificity Kinase DYRK3 Regulates the Organization of the Early Secretory Pathway through the Condensation of ER Exit Sites”. #Congratulations@RaffaellaGallo_ !!!
We are very proud to be part of this exciting consortium to apply our expertise in high-throughput multiplexed imaging to functional drug response profiling of patient biopsies: https://t.co/YzVdtD9AHW. #multi-omic #functionaltumorprofiling#precisiononcology
Welcome to our new Master student @yihsuan_f! Yixuan joined the Pelkmans lab in November 2020. He will be working on regulation of liquid-liquid phase separation.
Welcome to our new Ph.D. @sergueio1. Serguei has joined the Pelkmans lab in November 2020. He will be working on quantitative imaging approaches to study developmental dynamics in the context of scale crossing effects.
Welcome to our new postdoc @Quentin_Szabo ! Quentin has joined the Pelkmans lab in November 2020 to study nuclear biology in the context of multiple scale-crossing effects using multiplexed imaging approaches.
My lab will be recruiting a new PhD student from the Life Science Zurich Graduate School this winter round. Deadline of application 1 Dec. More info: https://t.co/JaJ8CAvN8H and: https://t.co/WnB02092sm. Please RT.
