@LilyMarieMFC Yikes! Temperature started dropping around lunch here, so while it was 38C yesterday afternoon and never got below 27C overnight last night, today it was never above 30C in the day and is already down to 26C now.
Hoping no more than 28C tomorrow here (and for some sleep).
@LilyMarieMFC Reform UK and Restore UK. They seem to be in a fight to be more horrible and racist than each other.
Their politicians mainly came left the traditional right wing party as they wanted something more anti-immigrant.
@MadelaineLucyH I've met some of the authors I follow so I know they're real human people. One of them has a day job in Waterstone's Piccadilly and will sign her novels at till if you ask.
@floschechter My mum paid "married women's stamp" which came with no state pension entitlement after my parents got married as they needed the extra money, and that was the 1960s. It's worse today but has never been great.
@MadelaineLucyH Been nearly 50 years since infants school and I still remember the tune and some of the words, probably because it wasn't a dirge like most of them.
Do agree with your general point, if church was all about kindness and not proscription and obedience I'd be less anti.
and they had no report, more than six weeks on. Back to OES and "oh yes, we didn't report it". The person I spoke to was very apologetic but over six weeks wasted because someone didn't make a report is very annoying and I had no online way to check the job status.
So on 8/5 an electrician from @OctopusEnergy services discovered a fault (B04) with a screw in my main fuse that prevented an isolator install and called it in to go back to national grid with a six week fix time. Nothing happened. Spoke to national grid this morning 1/?
@LilyMarieMFC I need some updates on my home electrics (which needs a chain of other things doing first, unfortunately) but once they are done I will be getting AC for my bedroom and sitting room. I have solar panels so when I need the AC the electric will be free, at least.
A real long shot but can people retweet this please.
Yesterday all my items were stolen in Eastbourne including my stats book which has 20 years worth of details in. Laptops, phones, clothes, shavers etc can all be replaced but this can’t and is useless to anyone else. It’s in a plastic folder you can see in the left hand side of this photo. Can anyone in that neck of the woods please keep an eye out. I’m gutted about this.
@LilyMarieMFC Didn't they listen to "99 luftballons" ( 99 red balloons on the English 7" single, which I still have) by Nena? A stark warning about military decision making processes.
Sorry I know you weren't born in 1983 so probably have no idea what I'm talking about! 🤣
@obsessafilma When I saw this among a sea of ragebait nonsense by people I don't follow I realised the app was on spontaneously "for you" rather than "following" that I always keep it on, so changed it back.
Evem so, aside from people I have notifications on for my feed is random as 🙁
"I have accepted Keir Starmer's resignation as my chief servant and have invited Andy Burnham to lay out details for how many meals a day he'll give me"
@LilyMarieMFC Google photos should be OK, they have massive infrastructure and resillience. I'd always keep a local copy was well, for example on a computer hard disk, but I'm extremely cautious.
