Is it possible to make a microwave oven without the whole oven part? You know, a portable microwave you can carry around like a handheld barcode scanner and aim at foods to heat them up in a flash? It could be pretty neat.

@xwanyex This is the wrong gotcha. You're thinking about libertarians. For atheists, the gotcha is how morals only make sense for (sufficiently) intelligent people, but we're not all like that. Some people need a simple set of rules and that's ok, but it also means we all have to follow

Differentiating between can="has the power to" (matter of fact) and can="has the right to" (moral/collective agreement) might be a good idea. In practice though, power comes in some specific form and has limitations
@ArtemisConsort By this definition, anything left of eugenics is left-wing. I think there's more nuance to be found. Besides, reason creates knowledge. See Deutsch et al
