Dear Governor-Elect @AAdeleke_01 Congrats on your Victory. As you prepare to take office, kindly prioritize the welfare of pensioners in your Plans. Osun State is owing billions in the CPS scheme. Pensioners suffer meager, irregular & denied payments. Look into this.

Pensioners in Lagos embarked on fasting and prayers to press on with their demands to resolve their pension issues.
This is something that is resolvable with the help of @followlasg.
Gov. @jidesanwoolu can you please attend to these people.
Wike, Umahi and co must stop receiving the already illegal and resource draining life pension. Note that as Governors, the Governors neglected the retired senior citizens of their states by failing to pay pensions. @officialABAT
BREAKING: We’ve asked President Tinubu to stop former governors Wike, Abubakar, Matawalle, Oyetola, Umahi, Lalong, Bagudu and Geidam from collecting life pensions from their states while they serve as ministers in his administration, or face legal action.

Dear @CalebMutfwang of Plateau state. We urge your newly elected Government to facilitate the enactment of the Contributory Pension Scheme and resume remittances in RSAs of workers. This is the surest quareentee of a pension in retirement and hedge against poverty in old age.
Attention
Dear @GovNasarawa of @NasarawaGovt: as of 31st March 2023, your state is yet to establish a pension bureau for its CPS. We urge you to do so immediately so as to quareentee monthly pension for workers in retirement. CPS is the way to go against poverty in retirement.
Attention
Dear Governor @RealAARahman, we urge you to ensure that the Contributory Pension Scheme is enacted in Kwara State. This is in the best interest of workers when they retire. Passage of the law and continuous remittances in RSA quareentees pension during retirement
Rejecting the CPS is the beginning of trouble when you retire. You would rather have your pension fund stuck in your RSA than have it in a government budget. It doesn't make economic sense. When the Government is broke you are gone. And poverty in old age is not a joke.
Most state government pensioners protest for their pensions, some less than 5k monthly. The sole reason is that at the time of working their government did not include them in a CPS .
If the police knew they would applaud @ruffydfire for amplify such a good scheme for them.
The Contributory Pension Scheme is in the best interest of anyone including the Nigeria Police Force. 30k might seem liitle while working but you rather have it automatically paid to your account than having to go and protest to have it paid by a government.
Having been in this industry for a while, it's safe to say that the Contributory Pension Scheme is the way to go always. CPS is the only system that guarantees monthly income after retirement since the money is saved in your RSA accounts and can be monitored by you regularly.
Not joining the CPS only exposes your pension to irregularities and permanently subjected to government revenues. When government doesn't have money you will also suffer. No! You want to be in a system that securely keeps your money invested under insurance in the private sector
Samuel Ortom’s passing of the life pension bill for the executives in Benue State is selfish and undemocratic. This same Governor refused to pay pensioners their due pensions. Many of these pensioners take as little as 1,500 Naira monthly.
@GovSamuelOrtom. Samuel Ortom, you refused to pay pensions, but you think you deserve it for life, isn’t it?
This is not governance. You have impoverished people just so you can enrich yourself right? continue!
@alialization your first job is to repeal this bad law..
Governor Samuel Ortom, as Governor refused to pay pensioners. Many pensioners died as they couldn’t afford Medicare and food to eat. Yet few days to his exit from office he has got the State Assembly to sign him a jumble retirement package for himself. Shame!

Dear @GovSamuelOrtom, after refusing to pay pensioners for most of your 8 year tenure, you still went ahead to enact into law the Executive Pension bill so as to continue juicing the System you refused to build while in office.
This is the height of wickedness and selfishness.
