So proud of rising 🌟 @AliyaIzumi, giving 👏 presentation on 🌐 distribution of women in cardiac surgery at #EACTS2024.
At 8% 🌐, women are severely underrepresented in 🫀 surgery, but @AliyaIzumi@gracelee_lsh & coauthors are helping create an equitable & more inclusive future.

Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:6
What to do when you feel like God is silent…
1. Keep doing what He told you to do the last time you believe you heard from Him.
2. Don’t compare yourself with anyone!
3. Keep talking to God even if you don’t think He is answering.
4. Keep listening.

Today, I reached a milestone, having completed my 3,800th thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
Back in May 2000, I performed my 1,510th, surpassing the previous record holder, Dr. E. Stanley Crawford's 1,509th. Many thanks to the team that made this possible.
