It never ceases to delight me how beautiful the grounds & gardens are at @StGeorgesTrust. Sometimes the littlest patches are put to good use, like this bit of verge with lovely wild flowers.
@drphiliplee1 As an ITU nurse I’ve done my best for all patients including a convicted paedophile, armed robbers and a Polish gangster. Who you vote for is the least of my concerns.
@HazelAppleyard_ If they think they can’t contract HIV, they are mistaken. Also, for someone who presumably felt so strongly that their biological sex didn’t match their psychology that they underwent transition, they don’t seem to like the female physiology very much!
@iDrSunny I have heard ‘is there a doctor or nurse on board?’ and have responded only if nobody else does!
Also … when asked for registration number (which I have been asked to give) what did they do?
@RosieisaHolt Congratulations, @RosieisaHolt . I’m sure you will serve your new party, your constituents and indeed the country with your inimitable dedication and style! I look forward to your next announcement with great anticipation.
@henningwehn What was all that about? I wouldn’t have any issues with them using the Ladies’ loo, wouldn’t even glance their way; was there a particular reason for such a contentious post?
@JohnMcL01938029 @DrNeenaJha Thank you! None of us is perfect, we all make mistakes & some will still overstep, but I do think it’s a good thing to have a recognised healthcare qualification on which to base further training eg. nurse, paramedic, pharmacist.
@JWils60@DrNeenaJha Well, 3y for RN, but in over 30y of nursing, many more! I had to meet strict criteria to earn the title including MSc & prescribing. Still a nurse and there are clear boundaries.
@JenniferT1977@DrNeenaJha Same here; I couldn’t look more like a nurse if I tried (dark blue dress, belt with silver buckle) but sometimes still hear pts on the phone ‘oh, the doctor’s here to see me now’!
@LeanneHPatrick I agree with both you and @alisonleary1 but there seem to be so many of these inappropriate posts on social media! Are they not being taught about pt confidentiality?
@DreyfusJames This is Pippin. I’ll never forget the day 5 years ago when the vet had to come. I kissed him and whispered, it’s been a pleasure and a privilege. I loved him so much. I still cry when i remember him. ❤️
@_MISS_DIAGNOSED @Ask_foradoctor @StGeorgesUni@RCObsGyn To be fair, we all use our phones these days to contact colleagues, make notes etc. But we don’t go plastering patient information all over our socials!
@Ask_foradoctor @StGeorgesUni@RCObsGyn What is it with this putting everything they’re seeing & doing on social media? Do other healthcare profession students do this?
@ThinkingSilicon@clairedocdavies@lewisthughes I think most of them are already disappointed. I feel they’ve been sold the prospect of a career that doesn’t really exist. Not their fault that other health professionals are so undervalued by the NHS.
