No new funding has actually been announced here (& certainly not £14 billion); it is deeply misleading to suggest it has.
Instead this is a desperate rehash from Labour of what was already outlined last summer in the spending review to try and win votes ahead of May's elections.
Hugely disappointed to see this mountain of waste being stored at the rear of 7 Clarendon Road in #penylan - I have reported this property many times before. I have asked the council to take action once again. #cardiff#libdems
Last week I challenged the decision to sell Mansion House. Cllr Goodway first admitted that Cllr Thomas had not invested in it properly and then told us that he would prefer to sell off Cardiff's built heritage than repurpose it and save it for the future.

Cllr @rodneyberman has taken up concerns for plot holders at Colchester Ave Allotments. One is that the site shop has been out of action for 10 months due to asbestos. Good news is that after pressure, we've now heard the council hopes repairs can start in 4 weeks' time.
At the most recent meeting of Cardiff Council's Economy & Culture Scrutiny Committee, Cllr Rodney Berman raised concerns about the allotments service after a number of problems had been flagged with him by plot holders at Colchester Avenue Allotments.

Please sign our petition to keep a feee parking period at Penylan Library & other council-run car parks.
The Labour-run council's plans will put local shops and business at risk and lead to more parking pressure on neighbouring residential streets.

We often get requests to ask the council to cut back trees encroaching on people's properties, but the council often says it won't act. Councillor Berman tabled a question at a recent council meeting asking for this policy to be reviewed. Here's the answer he received. ⬇️
Councillor @rodneyberman has been pushing the council to deal with the leaf mulch and detritus from trees which has now been clogging the gutters and pavements of a number of streets in Penylan for the last few months. ⬇️
Thank you Cabinet Member Lee Bridgeman @09bridgey for coming out to Penylan Library & meeting with me & manager Jen to discuss the great work @cdflibraries do. I advocated for the importance of this service & we discussed how it can grow & serve the community even better.

Great to see a Quiet Space for children and adults to escape when attending @CardiffHalf today and tomorrow. Not just for neurodiverse people, but breastfeeding, lost children and anyone who needs to escape. Thank you @WELSafe and @PrincipalityBS
On saturday 5th October we will be holding our monthly Councillor surgery. If you have anything you wish to talk to us about please come along to Albany Baptist Church, using the Blenheim Road entrance, between 10-11am. No need to book, just turn up.
Question 19 is from @syhrtaylor asking about the Fields in Trust initiative. The consultation was delayed due to the election. Could the cabinet commit to get rid of the provision to allow powers to swap land control by Trusts, as they controversially planned with Maindy
Question 11 is from Penylan councillor @jon_shimmin asking how much money was wasted installing and removing the inappropriate street lights at Roath Rec. The cabinet member didn’t know the answer and he refused to apologise for the handling of the scheme
Our Social Services spokesperson @bablinmolik asked what impact Labour’s cutting of the Winter Fuel Allowance will have on our elderly residents. Please support our campaign at https://t.co/romJRMn6te
We are now onto Oral Questions and our leader @rodneyberman asked a question about council contracts with a range of companies all owned by David Neil, who has given £282,000 to the Labour Party or Labour candidates. Neil Soil Suppliers Ltd still has links to the council
The amendment was seconded by Cyncoed and Lakeside councillor Dan Waldron. He asked how can we build confidence with people in this city. This administration puts a lot of information in the confidential space, we need to bring it into the light
