Oh hi #ThatConference, my 12yo and I made some pretty pictures for you. Come see them at 2:30 in room A! I'll also say some words about how to be successful in a world of pull requests and asynchronous code collaboration.
Will I have a complete slide deck in time for this? Who knows!! 🤷
But more importantly, will I win in the category of Best Hand-Painted Slides In Collaboration With Their 12yo? Hell yes.
Joining us at #THATConference this July is Steven Hicks @pepopowitz, sharing insights on 'Working Effectively With Pull Requests.' Can't wait to learn from his experience! https://t.co/SGwkg6DRl3
The good news for Twitter is that they're getting my most significant engagement in months today!!
The bad news for Twitter is that it's to see all my follows' Threads usernames.
I'm at https://t.co/iDftTtrHTb.
Now I'm worried that you don't know I'm coming, and will give my seat away to someone else.
How can I connect someone to check into my United flight over the phone, or how else might I resolve this?
@united help! I'm sitting on a plane operated by another airline, it is delayed, and I'm not checked in for my United connecting flight because your system is having issues with my reservation. I was told to talk to an agent when I got to Zurich, but...
📖Matches, Spoons, And The Relationship Between DX and UX - @pepopowitz used two metaphors, and one questionable psychological theory, to explain how hes thinks about DX, why he think it is important, and how he sees its relation to UX.

2. If you're an "own your content" kind of person, you can use a tool like https://t.co/CjJHLgqj9O to turn your Twitter archive into a website. Mine's at https://t.co/SCGmkGVGbH.
I ain't gonna lie, I don't enjoy Mastodon as much as I enjoyed Twitter. But if you're thinking about moving over there, start the process soon, because it's about to get a lot harder to rebuild your social graph.
A couple things to add....
Hey folks, even if you're not planning on using Mastodon instantly, you should take some time this week to create an account and set up your follows.
Twitter is starting to charge for API access to the migration tools in 5 days, meaning the migration tools will probably break.
1. I prefer https://t.co/yTStqiGNUk for migrating follows, the UI is nice, and you can see who's active and who isn't. Plus, look at that sweet opengraph image 🤩

I have seen this so many times in my career. No stackers come in like a Peacock. Puffing up about how everything is broken; people who know no differently get all excited. No stackers never deliver but get paid and company is hosed. They move on and do same antics elsewhere.
In your podcast player today -- I talk to @mweinand about the list-making that helps him be a Very Reliable Person ™️. We talk about problem solving, context switching, and the pressures we put on ourselves to be dependable.

Hey, in the next week I'm planning to GTFO. I will...
1. Do this: https://t.co/k5Dj2I3MJW
2. Do something with my account here, not sure what yet
3. Delete this app
4. Fully embrace my @[email protected] 🦣 account
I'll keep https://t.co/9N8WbHxppj updated.
Thanks to all the friends I met here. This was my favorite form of social media, it fit with my brain (and preyed on it but who's counting). The software engineering community here was incredible. Hope I see you over at the 🦣 site.
