Meet Rebecca Sharrock. She has a rare condition called hyperthymesia, which allows her to remember virtually every day of her life
She says her earliest memory dates back to when she was just 12 days old, when she remembers being in her crib
the air quality sucks, the food gives you explosive diarrhea, we have no public transport, medical care is unaffordable, they’re tearing down forests to build AI data centers and I still have to clock in for work
People don't seem to realize that before phones you would just not see people nor hear from them for months and it was just fine. It is not the default to have access to anyone 24/7, nobody owes you that access and you don't owe it to anybody.
If you woke up today and
> have a job
> can call both your parents
> not physically ill
> have somewhere to go back home to
it is a good day regardless of what else is going on in the world or what you might be stressed about
easy to take these things for granted
