I understand the need for a world class airport in Chennai, better airport infrastructure across the state, an increase in the FSI limit for Chennai, and so on.

But this has become almost daily complaining on social media, highlighting how well Andhra Pradesh is doing in airports, Maharashtra in infrastructure, and so on, and concluding that Tamil Nadu is doomed.

A few points:

Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are facing serious challenges too. Since my idea is not to keep focusing on the negatives of other states, I don’t highlight them.

Tamil Nadu can definitely become better in airport infrastructure and urban planning. To my knowledge, the government is already seized of this matter.

It is not that all is well with the states that are being compared every day. Their challenges are much more severe.

I think it is absolutely fine to keep giving feedback to the government. But just because we lack in a few critical areas, constantly wailing that we are doomed is an extreme overreaction.

What kind of system is this? Are we normalizing bribery despite the Chief Minister’s repeated efforts to curb corruption?

A whistleblower filed a confidential corruption complaint with DVAC. Instead of conducting an independent vigilance inquiry, the complaint was forwarded to the very department being accused, exposing the complainant’s identity and showing the entire complaint to the accused Surveyor.

To make it worse, during the inquiry, officials reportedly justified bribery by saying Surveyors’ salaries are low and they have to spend money on travel. Since when did a low salary become an excuse to accept bribes?

This is exactly why people fear reporting corruption. Without confidentiality and strong whistleblower protection, anti-corruption systems lose public trust.

There is a TASMAC shop just across the compound wall of NGP School in Kalapatti, Coimbatore. Have written a lot this issue many times already, also as part of BJP we have submitted petitions to Collectorate and TASMAC office

This shop is a huge public safety hazard, NGP college, Anan International school all are within 500 metre radius.

Post 8 PM, especially on weekends crowds and this shop and adjoining bar makes huge tariff congestion as well.

If it’s gets closed as part of today’s govt order I welcome it 🙏
