🥇| @LewisSteele_: Virgil Van Dijk "is understandably upset" at the situation of players continually leaving Liverpool and it might explain why he sat on the Anfield turf, alone, for 15 minutes on Sunday staring into the middle distance with a tearful eye.
The greatest lie and betrayal of Zimbabweans any politician can perpetrate today is to pretend that there is a bigger battle they’re saving themselves for than to contend with Emmerson Mnangagwa’s CAB3 and 2030 agenda!
Why?
Because #CAB3, if railroaded through, puts paid to electoral politics as we’ve known them in Zimbabwe since the 1987 constitutional amendments!
The demand of history that we face today goes beyond mere rhetoric about being for the people. We need to diagnose the national crisis accurately: To be brutally accurate, CAB3 is 11 November 1965 all over again! A UDI rupture in which the ruling elite impose a new constitutional order on the nation, taking the country in an extreme direction in which they cast their power and authority beyond the reach of citizens!
There’s no “deeper understanding of struggle” than to recognise the fundamental, defining nature of a UDI juncture and responding to it, not with rhetoric about one’s illusory, secret strategies that are as palpable as The Emperor’s New Clothes, but with revolutionary action!
When Smith declared UDI in 1965, the African Nationalist movement STEPPED UP a gear: they did not try to convince people that look, we’re not into public postures so we won’t challenge UDI, just believe we’re working in secret on a much broader masterplan to reverse the theft of your country!
Rather, the Nationalist Movement took a DECISIVE DECISION and evolved into a National Liberation Movement, which launched the armed struggle that brought us independence.
A CORRECT READING OF HISTORICAL CONTRADICTION, MET SWIFTLY WITH DEPLOYMENT OF REVOLUTIONARY ACTION!
Not prevarication. Not ambiguity. But REVOLUTION!
THAT, is what LEADERSHIP looks like!
UDI was the historical rupture from which ZANLA and ZIPRA were born; it is the moment from which the heroes of our struggle that we lionise today - Josiah Tongogara, Nikita Mangena, Rex Nhongo, Lookout Masuku and others - MEN OF ACTION, emerged into history!
To miss this historical parallel is to fail, conceptually, to crystallise the challenge we face today in CAB3 and envision scenarios of national life post-CAB3!
We face a CONSTITUTIONAL POWER HEIST whose immediate effect is to lock citizens out of the determination of their own destiny, robbing them of direct expression of sovereignty, and constraining what’s left of the democratic process with stifling Executive overreach!
To pretend that there is a bigger battle for Zimbabwe to fight than this CONSTITUTIONAL ASPHYXIATION amounts to cruel political hypnosis deployed to beguile citizens into surrendering their lives without as much as a whimper of protest!
It is to give a through-pass to Emmerson Mnangagwa to score with his 2030 agenda!
Why would any purported leader of the people do that?
And why would that leader constantly promise the people a mirage that never materialises, while behind them, a tide of constitutionally fuelled oppression gathers momentum?
To claim to be with the people while simultaneously deserting them during the most defining development, then trying to downplay that moment as inconsequential and a footnote to the great big liberation that leader is working on, is to engage in gaslighting of monumental proportions.
I sincerely hope this “Presidential Spokesperson” does not represent the actual views of Adv @nelsonchamisa, because it would be tragically unsettling to accept this is how he reads the historical challenge the Zimbabwe he aspires to lead faces today!
Good morning 5am club. Oppression does not always come with chains. Sometimes it comes with comfort. When people become comfortable inside injustice, they stop demanding change. That comfort becomes their cage.🌺

Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, South African former opposition EFF prominent figure and MP, recently interviewed Zimbabwean lawyer Brian Kagoro on the African Renaissance Podcast, titled "Rethinking Africa's Development".
The interview originally aired on 23 March 2026.
Watched the African Renaissance Podcast episode featuring Brian Kagoro. I think a part 2 is needed sibili to tackle the development of African states in the context of China. This was a good episode.
Many takeaways but l will share only five here:
1. Zimbabwe is a crisis of development
2. Debt alcoholism 🤣
3. A struggle doesn't happen because it is possible, a struggle happens because it is just.
4. There's a disconnect between political model, economic model and social aspirations. This often leads to revolting.
5. South Africa cannot continue carrying the SADC burden.

Thank you for your patience with us. The platform to join CDF is up. It should be a quick 2 minute exercise. You will have an opportunity to download our constitution, get your membership card and write to Parliament about the Amendment 3. https://t.co/peGMhoqGNY
It's important for us to be organized, and this is part of making sure we move together. By adding your country you are then assigned to your Federation so we can start the process of building strong structures worldwide.
We acknowlege that not everyone has access to internet. In the next few days we will integrate Whatsapp, Telegram and other platforms so everyone can have a chance to join CDF and also send their views directly to parliament.
Let's ORGANIZE and stop AGONIZING!!!!!

On Monday, Mr. William Ruto’s regime carried out an illegal and unjustified rendition of Brian Kagoro (@TamukaKagoro77), the Africa Director of the @OpenSociety, barring him from entering Kenya, and taking him to South Africa.
KHRC condemns this action as an act of aggression and a direct assault on the work of human rights defenders across the region.
KHRC demands the immediate reversal of the decision against Kagoro, allowing him unfettered entry into and work in Kenya.

The Open Society Foundations condemn the arbitrary detention and denial of entry of our managing director of Programs, Brian Kagoro, by authorities in Kenya. No formal charges were presented, and no written reasons were provided to him.
Kagoro was held for more than 10 hours upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, questioned by national intelligence officers, and subsequently denied entry and returned to Johannesburg. Kagoro has never been charged with or convicted of any criminal offense. The removal order authorizing the air carrier to ferry him back to South Africa cites Section 54 of the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act of 2011, which pertains to documentation-related offenses.
We categorically reject as baseless the allegations circulated by certain media outlets, citing unnamed sources, that Kagoro was involved in financing or coordinating political unrest in Kenya. No evidence has been presented to support these defamatory claims.
Kagoro is a well-respected constitutional lawyer and Pan-Africanist with decades of experience working on governance, regional integration, global justice, and rule of law issues across Africa. He has lawfully resided in Kenya for extended periods over the past decade.
Open Society does not fund or organize political protests. Our work in Kenya, as elsewhere, supports lawful civic engagement and accountable governance. Since 2005, we have worked constructively with Kenyan institutions and stakeholders, including government actors, on issues such as economic policy, climate, and democratic governance, and we value that partnership.
Transparency and due process are essential principles in democratic societies. We have always complied with Kenya’s laws, including on immigration matters, and are seeking formal clarification through appropriate channels.
Since clearly some of you apparently don't know who Dr. Kagoro @TamukaKagoro77 is and think he is some village politician. We are talking about an international level scholar here, not your drinking mate. This is a @ProfPLOLumumba and Jeffreys Sachs level scholar!
Today I celebrate another year of life and purpose. I am deeply grateful to God for His grace, and to my family, friends, mentors, comrades, and fellow countrymen who have stood with us throughout this journey.
Each passing year strengthens my conviction that life is not merely to be lived, but to be invested in service of something greater than oneself.
As I grow older, I become more certain that leadership is nothing more and nothing less than faithful service to a collective struggle of which we are all part, and the steady work of building a future worthy of our effort, sacrifice, and belief.
The journey continues.
