@Food4ThoughtAI Hi! I just released an update to Percy today that should fix this issue. Will you please update the app to version 1.8 and let me know if that resolves the issue? Very sorry about that.
@TheJarOfJelly Thanks! That’s certainly something I’m wanting to add. There is the ability to add one preset. I hadn’t thought people would want more than one but makes sense now and I’ll look into it!
@sjf238 No problem. This is because you need to set your OpenAI account as a pay as you go plan with OpenAI. See your billing section of your OpenAI account to set that up
@davidvb I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I am able to reproduce the issue. I’ll track that as a bug. It’s best for now to keep your conversation short and start new conversations
@sjf238 Ah ok this is helpful. That error message means you have set your API key properly but you have reached your max quota in OpenAI or you haven’t set up a pay as you go plan with OpenAI.
@SteveMoraco It was a pretty unpleasant bug for many people and was attracting a lot of negative attention. The app will be back soon. Thanks for the support!
@OmidtheGreat2 Hi! Thanks for using the app. If you'd like to request a refund for the in-app purchase, you can request one from Apple: https://t.co/lQztjTjw63
The temporary sale of the free in-app purchase has been halted. The support and usage has been phenomenal lately. Thank you all for using Percy and for all the feedback I've received! I'll be addressing some bugs and adding some new features in the week to come. :)
For what it’s worth, the issue is that most people who are getting an infinite spinner don’t have a pay as you go plan set up for their OpenAI account and so OpenAI is sending an error back but Percy is not displaying the error. Please set your account as a pay as you go account!
Hello all! I took the in app purchase to purchase your own API key offline as there is a critical bug in the app without a clear error message as to what is happening.
I plead for your patience as I resolve the issue! Thanks 🙏
@robfalk Not a problem it’s my fault for not displaying an appropriate error message. There actually should be a free trial for OpenAI. I’m not sure how many free credits OpenAI gives you these days.
@robfalk I think I found the root cause. It looks like OpenAI is sending back messages saying “max quota has been reached”. That means the API usage limit has been reached for your account. Can you please check your quota to make sure you haven’t gone over the limit? Your quota might be 0
