How much more proof do you need, @SpeakerJohnson? St. Louisans and many other communities across the US deserve access to #RECA. Congress must prioritize a vote on S.3853 when you return in September.

Cool to see the House decided to go on Aug break early. Meanwhile Americans are struggling to pay cancer bills bc @SpeakerJohnson let #RECA expire w/o ever allowing a vote on a twice-passed bipartisan senate bill. People will continue to die unless congress reauthorizes & EXPANDS
NO WAY is anyone going to say it’s “acceptable” for Missouri and tax paying citizens to live on top of the Manhattan Project!!! FULL STOP!! @SpeakerJohnson needs to put @HawleyMO ‘s Senate Bill for RECA NOW on the House floor for a vote!!

It's a shame @SpeakerJohnson wants to make this political instead of embracing the will of the people; people our gov willingly poisoned. We're not going away & we're certainly not backing down. We have sacrificed & conceded so much already #expandRECA#MO

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act expired on Friday — and there’s no word on whether the U.S. House will act to revive it.
But St. Louis-area advocates still remain hopeful.
@jrosenbaum & @kgrumke report: https://t.co/Rx7LFwNnE5
We are a unified coalition that will not accept anything short of an expansion. The time to act is now. @SpeakerJohnson
We urge you to put S.3853 on the floor for a vote. #expandRECA
The Senate passed legislation to extend and expand RECA twice with bipartisan support. @SpeakerJohnson must hold a vote on the Senate-passed bill to save RECA and provide long-overdue justice to victims.
@HouseGOP cannot let this program expire without holding a single vote.
While y'all spent the day in France commemorating D-Day & WWII, please remember US nuclear weapons are still killing Americans & Indigenous communities back home. You have a chance to right this wrong by bringing S3853 to the floor for a vote #expand@SpeakerJohnson@SteveScalise
@RepMaloyUtah S B 3853 has sat on @SpeakerJohnson desk for over 2 months. It passed the senate 69-30. That’s 8 more votes than last year. I grew up 55 miles from the Nevada test site, yet the government doesn’t consider me a downwinder. I’ve lost aunts, uncles and cousins due to cancer.
@RepMaloyUtah How is the already authorized bill from the Senate 'not actually radiation exposure or Gov't action'? Without expansion of RECA all of UT's residents will still face arbitrary exclusions, despite exposure. Why would a bill with wide Senate, supporting all UT be DOA in the House?
@RepMaloyUtah In Missouri, we lost an entire school because radioactive waste was found on the property 30+ years after the school opened. The contamination of the site began in 1940's by DOE. Decades of federal silence and now your further dismissal. Very sad to see.
@RepMaloyUtah Want more proof? Here's the MO DHSS Cancer Analysis & ATSDR Health Assessment on St. Louisans living around the Manhattan Project radioactive sites in Missouri. I'm also fairly certain we are the only community in the nation w/a burning radioactive superfund site. #themoreyouknow
@RepMaloyUtah There is nothing 'clean' about your proposal. It's a dirty trick to leave out communities that deserve to be a part of RECA, even in your own state. Explain to me why Missouri shouldn't be included when we're not even allowed to use our own backyards w/o fear of being exposed
@RepCori@SpeakerJohnson Thank you, Congresswoman, for always standing by us and demanding justice for our communities. As you've said, WWII is still killing us and we will not accept any bill that excludes Missourians.
@SenHawleyPress Thank you, Senator, for standing with our communities and fighting so hard to see Missourians finally acknowledged and compensated for our sacrifices. WWII is still killing people in our state. We not only deserve better, we demand better.
.@SpeakerJohnson@RepJeffries please do the right thing&put S3853 on the floor for a vote. The American people are counting on you. In Missouri, we are still being poisoned by the fed gov's nuclear weapons waste from WWII. It's in our yards, school houses, & parks. #RECA#helpus
Maybe @SenatorRomney would like to attend our prayer vigil next week on Wednesday Evening! He can tell my friend Leslie from the Navajo Nation who has had a double lung transplant that he “isn’t suffering” to his face.
Maybe @SenatorRomney should ask Mary Oscko’s family how life was for her the last 5 years she was alive since he thinks people in St. Louis didn’t suffer? His comments in @thehill article are absolutely disgusting! He should champion RECA like @HawleyMO and @SenatorLujan!
