@majornelson Furthermore, the continuous form works here because the act of 'having wanted' is being drawn out over a specific period of time. You're giving a static desire a timeline, which is why it reads naturally.
@majornelson I don't know, isn't English but a set of rules that are broken and twisted for whatever context is desired? You can say it's informal, sure, and rigidly speaking, incorrect grammar... but saying "I've been wanting to ask you..." simply sounds more polite than "I want to ask you"
@jonaeru Since you appear to be new to the franchise though, you could enjoy it (if you don't know what you're missing, heh) and since you want to see your country represented! So it's at least cool in that respect.
@jonaeru Understandable! But as a game, I don't think I'd recommend Forza Horizon 6, but I'm biased lol. The 1st game was perfect to me, and then subsequently each new Horizon has tried to have a broader appeal; less creative/unique in its game design. Like if PD became Call Of Duty 😅
@jonaeru Similar to how I'm not into weapons but I love Perfect Dark, I like the Forza Motorsport and Horizon games despite me not being major into cars. The cars I do enjoy are pretty much 2005 and earlier. I also like plain cars lol. So as time goes on, games offer less cars that I like
@jonaeru I love the Forza Horizon franchise-- Forza Horizon 1 is among my top 3 favorite games of all time. Forza Horizon 4 is still great, too. However I was not a fan of 5, and while Japan looks like a great setting, I don't think the modded JDM style and drifting is an appeal for me 😅
@StupidMarioFan1 I don't disagree too much, however honestly I feel like we should refrain from putting so much stock in generational labels; I feel like that needlessly divides us and tempts us to lose our humanity and sense of connection, regardless of age (old or young).
My dad played GoldenEye in the '90s, but Perfect Dark hooked him, especially the tuxedo-wearing aliens! Seven years later, he introduced me to PD on the N64. We’ve been playing together ever since, nowadays using the AIO mod
Happy 26th to the greatest game of all time 🥂
Happy 26th Anniversary to Perfect Dark N64!
It released May 22nd 2000 in US.
EU: June 30th, JP: October 21st
I'm currently working on the next update for the “All in One Mod” for the Perfect Dark PC Port.
Coming soon!
Thanks @perfectdark101 for updating the character models!
@DarkIxion I've never cared for the "Hot Wheels" kinda stuff like this that Horizon has evolved into, which is to say, very not car related lol. Plus I don't like cars from after like, 2005. And I don't care for bloaty body kits either. So as time goes on, racing games become a harder sell
@rippal_ They're really bad driving physics, feeling like every car is a 30 year old junker. I can see that they were going for realism-- it has realistic elements, but they really fumbled it in practice. Though I can respect if people enjoy it anyway. But it's simply not 'realistic'.
@Wario64 I tried several of the songs included on Horizon XS, and I don't like any of 'em. Impressive, considering I like every song from FH4's XS station. In 5, the XS tracks were noticeably worse, but still listenable. In 6, it's reminding me of FH2 with how there's no music I like
@ForzaHorizon For the first time in series history, I'm not picking the game up on day 1. For various reasons, but the final straw for me was the lack of Infected, King, and Flag Rush. Those are my go-to experiences in online. They're a blast, and a Horizon-essential for me.
@GillieAmanita I don't think enough people would choose blue. But it's lose/lose either way assuming that... if the poll was private, virtually everyone would lose someone they love, perhaps even switched their vote thinking it would mean being able to continue seeing them.
Reminds me of this
@waitbutwhy Have a hard time believing more than 50% of people would privately choose blue. When push comes to shove, I think self-preservation would be most people's instinct, & the compassionate folks who had faith and the decency of people would pick blue, and be punished for that choice.
@oldpalamnesia I played RDR2 first, and RDR1 felt like a big regression in many things, including plot/characters. Which is to say they did a great job in 2, expanding the characters and lore/world.
