i went through lots of different hobbies and interests that I now know were hyperfixations. i used to change my mind all the time about what I wanted to do when i left school, often on impulse.

Self-diagnosis is an absolutely reasonable thing to do especially for autistic adults - because most of them will do more research than a person doing the diagnostic assessment (the person who diagnosed me said this),

1. Stop child abuse in our schools. Tonight a concerned SNA asked me if she should take the advice of SLT who told her to interrupt an Autistic child at play. She told her to mess up the child’s neat line of toy cars to ‘engage’ the child.
