@MilkAnd15244 The opportunity to federalize will come out of that weakness, times of crisis are often where opportunities rise for greater unity, for the US it took a war, so who knows. This is a question of futurology anyway and only time will tell us which of us is right.
@MilkAnd15244 The EU is a confederation, I agree with the structural problems but I going back to a bag of single nation states is not the answer since the economies are very intertwined and dependent on each other, the light at the end of the tunnel is federalization.
@MilkAnd15244 The EU never was completely cohesive from the beginning, crisis in the EU are more often opportunities for greater unity and cohesiveness than the opposite, especially with Britain out of the way.
