10 Things ADC Governors Will Do Differently in the Northwest

1. Lower Fuel Costs: Back a targeted fuel subsidy to reduce petrol prices. This will lower transport costs and ease pressure on household expenses.

2. N110,000 Minimum Wage: Pay workers across ADC-led Northwest states a minimum wage of N110,000. This will put more money in workers’ pockets and help wages keep pace with the cost of living.

3. Regional Security Network: Build a joint, technology-enabled security and rapid-response network across all 21 senatorial districts. This will improve intelligence sharing, early warning and response to security threats across state borders.

4. 21 Specialist Hospitals: Establish one specialist hospital in every senatorial district across the Northwest. This will bring quality healthcare closer to millions of people and reduce the need to travel long distances for specialist care.

5. Education Emergency: Get more children into school, recruit and train teachers, and integrate Almajiri and Tsangaya education. This will reduce the number of out-of-school children and improve access to quality education.

6. Safe Farming Corridors: Secure farming communities and rehabilitate irrigation infrastructure. This will help farmers return safely to their farms, increase food production and help bring down food prices.

7. Northwest Youth Fund: Create a dedicated regional fund for young entrepreneurs and businesses. This will give more young people access to capital to start and grow businesses and create jobs.

8. Skills & Digital Jobs: Expand vocational training, digital hubs and skills programmes. This will equip young people with practical skills for jobs, entrepreneurship and the digital economy.

9. One Northwest Market: Deepen economic integration between the seven states through shared infrastructure, investment and easier trade. This will expand markets for businesses, reduce barriers to commerce and attract greater investment into the region.

10. Quarterly Report Cards: Publish performance reports every three months. This will allow citizens to track what was promised, what has been delivered and hold their governments accountable.
