Today the country that chairs the UN Security Council killed 22 people and injured many more. What is wrong with this world of ours? Who is the doctor?
Powerful reading by @KirkLawrence of the poem "Missa in Tempore Belli" by Borys Khersonskyi aka @BorisHersonskij . The poem was written in 2014.

Katie’s book is published today. Watching her write these poems during the cancer years was the most terrifying, illuminating & compelling experience of my life
(Because it might be a while before friends abroad can get the book in the mail, I’ll share some photos of poems)
My poem among two other wonderful poems in the anthology In the Hour of War, Poetry From Ukraine, edited by @carolynforche and Ilya Kaminsky aka @ilya_poet and translated by @ValzhynaMort . Such an honour. Thank you!
While this anthology is still reaching folks, I will be posting some poems from the book—to keep the focus on poets from Ukraine. Today, a poem by a poet who is currently in Ukraine, one by the poet who had to leave when full scale invasion began, and one by a beloved classic:
“Are dreams the flotsam of our waking lives, washed up on the shores of consciousness, or are dreams, like pain, meaningful messages from our bodies?”

Said to my husband a few days ago while walking through the sycamore alley and looking upwards at the treetops where branches from each side contacted - This reminds me of a high Gothic cathedral. Do you think in the old times cathedrals were inspired by such tree alleys?
Russian army destroys everything in Ukraine. Poor unhappy pug. Where are his owners? Animals suffer like people. They have their psychological traumas. They cannot speak them out. Gosh, what a terrible crime this war is...#RussiaIsATerroristState
