@suchenzang "No one person should be trusted here. I don't have super voting shares—I don't want them—. The board can fire me. I think that's important." - sama, june 2023
@QiaochuYuan My first impression of him was a post as a pseud on the old ssc - basically “if I was the lord of a simulated world, of course I would spend all my time arbitrarily torturing the inhabitants for entertainment, therefore simworlds are a hazard”. Just clearly possessed by evil.
@xuenay The thing is, it is a smarter way of copying, it is the chimps that copy dumber. The inability to see that the human way is smarter and to insist on doing it the chimp way is a common failure mode for high IQ folks, often to their lasting detriment
Some of the smartest people of the day - Bertrand Russell and John von Neumann - were much too pessimistic about the risks of a nuclear war in the late 40s and early 50s
"can you write a smullyan style logic story, in borges register, that uses category theory as its governing paradigm rather than just truth tables"
Opus 4.8: forced, literal, slop
Fable 5: damn this actually is a readable smullyan/borges mashup
its a good model sir.
@Ruesavatar I mean yeah they just started their therapy. God willing they'll keep working out their salvation and their kids will just have the peace of Christ in their bones
