3 days later …
“How do we this? I have no idea.”
It's just a job.
It's just a job.
It's just a job.
I am not my students' grades.
I am not my students' grades.
I am not my students' grades.
Chocolate.
Chocolate.
Chocolate.
I help, help, help struggling students in ENG 1. A lot of rewrites and regrades and talks.
And a later prof will ask "How did she pass your class? She's failed all my assignments."
And I end up gloomily wondering if helping can hurt.
Dear Student ~ I know you are probably just seeing your official grade today. But it is December 22. Today is not the day to be emailing your instructor about it. Any day for the remainder of 2023 is not the day.
If you’re not simultaneously watching student video presentations and shopping online for holiday presents in the middle of December, are you even a professor?
Getting a few "don't judge the work, judge the learning" responses, and I'm wondering if there's a secret brain wave machine I don't know about.
"No essays turned in, but the brain is strong with this one."
Just because it’s a holiday weekend doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be responding to student emails! They have questions about the class they missed and the assignment they didn’t do!
