Why some people seem unbelievably "lucky" — and how to become one of them. Most people think luck is random. Dr Steiner says: What you call luck is karma you have forgotten. The stranger who opens a door. The opportunity that appears at the perfect moment. The disaster you somehow avoid. Not accidents. Consequences. Every thought, feeling, and deed becomes a real force in the spiritual world. Nothing disappears. Everything returns. A “lucky break” may be the delayed echo of a sacrifice made years ago — or in another incarnation. A misfortune may be an unfinished lesson seeking completion. Destiny feels mysterious because: We remember the effect. We forget the cause. Steiner distinguishes immediate karma, long-wave karma from previous lives, and the collective karma we share with families, peoples, and nations. What looks random from the surface is lawful from a higher perspective. But karma lives in us. When the etheric body, astral body, and higher I are in harmony, life begins to flow. The right people appear. The right opportunities arrive. Not because the universe suddenly favors you, but because inner order expresses itself as outer order. The people who seem most fortunate are often the most humble. Why? Because genuine karmic blessings often carry the memory-echoes of past suffering. Their fortune wasn't given. It was earned — through sacrifice, truthfulness, and self‑mastery. The deeper the soul develops, the more clearly it sees: "I am not the source of these gifts. I am their steward." Steiner goes even further: higher beings work within human biographies; not to erase karma, but to guide it. What we call "luck" is often destiny being quietly arranged so a necessary meeting, lesson or opportunity can occur. Not random chance. Destiny choreography. And spiritual development changes everything. The more conscious a person becomes, the less life appears random. The initiate does not chase luck. He learns to perceive the threads from which destiny is woven. So how do you increase what people call "luck"? Purify your motives. Strengthen your life through rhythm. Act from the Higher I rather than the lower personality. As inner chaos decreases, destiny becomes more transparent.
