The unsavoury incident in Mysuru, where Karnataka CM @siddaramaiah publicly questioned Hon’ble President Droupadi Murmu ji on whether she understood Kannada, reeked of arrogance, condescension and political posturing.

This is no way to treat a guest to our State, let alone the First Citizen of Bharat. Such behaviour insults Karnataka’s tradition of warmth and hospitality and reveals a leader who weaponises language politics for division and political opportunism. Kannada is our pride, but a language should unite and build bridges, and never be used as a tool for demeaning others.

In contrast, President Droupadi Murmu ji displayed dignity and grace, pledging to learn Kannada while honouring every language and tradition of our great nation. Her humility is an inspiration to every Indian and a reminder of what true leadership looks like.

This incident exposes @siddaramaiah’s divisive and disrespectful mindset, even towards the highest constitutional office. Karnataka deserves better.
